Playing in the snow!

We actually had a great trip on our way to Colorado! We were sad to leave Daddy at home, but it was exciting to finally leave on our Christmas adventure. Both kids were great on the plane! It snowed last night (and is still snowing today!) and we got out early for Bruce's first time playing in the snow! He thought it was fun and very interesting. We came inside when he wanted his mittens off, then stuck his hands in the snow! That was a little too cold for him. Autumn stayed inside with Grammy where it was warm. Maybe next year!

First time walking in snow!

Excited about the snow and watching the garbage truck that was stuck trying to get up the hill

Here's Bruce just figuring out he could kick the snow.

Getting Ready for Christmas

We've unfortunately had a lot of illness in our home for the past week. We are getting it out of our systems for our upcoming trip to Colorado! However, last week we were all well and very busy getting ready for Christmas! Our CBS Childrens' Program had their annual Christmas music program and Bruce was in it! It was his first Christmas program ever! There's a video below, but don't get too excited. I think he had stagefright. Bruce also had a Christmas party and book exchange at "school" and we were in the Weatherford Christmas parade with our MOPS group. It was a chilly day but was great fun! Autumn was there too, but stayed wrapped up in a blanket and out of the wind. Maybe she'll get a chance to perfect her parade wave next year.

Huge smile!
Autumn's very smiley now - it's so much fun!

He just wants to do whatever Daddy is doing

Chloe figured out that Bruce isn't the only cuddly kid to snuggle up with

Our award-winning float for the Christmas parade (or we should have won if we didn't. I actually haven't found out yet!)

Bruce had a great time riding on the float. We were waving and yelling "merry Christmas". Now if you ask him to say "Merry Christmas" he just waves. Definitely destined for fame! :)

View from the float - you can see the old courthouse in the distance.

Texan chihuahua surviving the cold

Before the Christmas program began - maybe he has butterflies in his tummy.

Okay, so at least he rang his jingle bells a bit!

Our next post will be from sunny (and hopefully snowy) Colorado! Merry Christmas, everyone!

Just some pictures - we're as busy as everyone else!

Good thing someone's paying the bills...

Autumn's now able to hold her head up and smile (the purposeful type of smile, not those newborn sleepy ones - although we love those just as much - don't get me wrong)! We don't have a picture of her smiling because they never do that when you have the camera. Still working on that...

Yeah, I'd be all smiley myself if my day's events consisted of eating cheerios, dancing, playing, taking naps, playing at the park, stickers, bubbles, etc., etc.

Ostrich impression? We don't have any other answer for this strange behavior.

These two are becoming the best of friends. Awwww...

What we're up to

We are busy lately, as usual. Jerret is still working a lot (hopefully not much longer!) and the kids and I are starting to figure out a schedule. We just finalized our plans for Bruce, Autumn, and I to be in Colorado at Christmastime. It will be so much fun! The only very sad part is that we will be without Daddy on Christmas. We will have to celebrate it on another day before we leave. Jesus doesn't mind, right? :)

Holding Daddy's hand (which is bigger than her head!)

I love to get pictures of them while they're sleeping!

Yes, we still have pets. They just get a lot less camera time!

Surrounded by friends

Doesn't get much cooler than that!

Very proud to wear Daddy's hat
(and talking with his mouth full too - he's not much for manners yet!)

One Month Old

We can't believe that Autumn's already 1 month old! Where did the last 4 weeks go? Next time I post, she'll be talking about boys and asking to borrow the car! Just kidding Jerret. I know you flipped out when you read that. :)

Tummy time!

Halloween and New Baby Days

I think she knows something we don't

The wonderful thing about tiggers
Is tiggers are wonderful things!
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs!

We skipped trick-or-treating this year since it's pretty much lost on Bruce's age, neither of us want the extra candy in the house, and he goes to bed fairly early. We did dress him up and go with him to the Halloween party/parade they had at his preschool. It was very cute! He was Tigger and Autumn went in her little flower outfit. All of the kids paraded down the hall of the preschool and trick-or-treated in the offices of the church that the preschool is in.

We've been very busy lately in the process of adjusting to our new normal. Autumn sleeps pretty well during the night. She does wake up a couple times to eat, but goes back to sleep easily most of the time.

Awwww.....

Bright eyed!

Just sitting here reading a book

He loves hanging out at the park!
He loves the slides (even the big ones) and he even goes down headfirst (despite mom's frantic pleads to sit down)!

We don't have too much to report. Autumn's already two weeks old today! We're busy adjusting to our larger family and trying to get some rest in between! Everyone's doing well though. Here are some pictures of our recent activity!

Daddy loves his little girl!

Shhh - I'm sleeping!

Wide eyed and alert!

Cuddling with Grammie

We finally got a picture of one of her many smiles! Maybe it's because she gets to be a flower for Halloween (thanks Aunt Kimmy!).

All dressed up
